Sponsorship

SOPHIA provides sponsorship in a variety of areas, in particular where it concerns handicapped or ill children. We also contribute financially to the reconstruction of historical monuments and support scientific research:

2011

Publishing house UMÚN – financial support for disabled painters that paint using their mouths and feet. The publishing house brings together disabled artists from around the world; organizes appraisals of their art works and organizes exhibitions of said artists.
Playground BezBot Labyrint – financial support of a giant maze development within a children´s project in Rudolfov near Ceske Budejovice, South Bohemia. In cooperation with the world famous maze designer Adrian Fisher a giant maze has been cut from a large field of living maize plants.

2010

Primary School and Kindergarten Borek – donation of a library and CCTV security system.

2007

Ceske Budejovice Hospital, a.s. – financial contribution towards medical equipment for children’s department
University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice project “Biological and Climate Diversity of Central part of the Arctic Archipelago Svalbard”. Contribution towards the launch of the project and towards the purchase of additional equipment for the Czech Science Station of J. G. Mendel on the Isle of James Ross in Antarctica.
Financial contribution towards the 35th anniversary celebrations of the kindergarten in Papirenska Street in Ceske Budejovice.
Hospital in Tabor – small Christmas presents for the hospitalized children.
