Translation work is not merely a question of finding the appropriate expressions in the target language. This in itself is a difficult
task which makes absolute equivalence difficult to achieve and often inappropriate. The fundamental principle of modern translation
is functional equivalence, i.e. preserving the character of the initial text and all its consequences. Providing a translation service
on this basis is therefore, from our perspective, a very complex process which we at SOPHIA control in detail at every stage.
