• “SOPHIA, language services s.r.o.” is a legal entity
• Since 1993 we have translated and interpreted nearly 2 million standard pages and man-hours intogether
• Our team consists of several hundreds of Czech as well as foreign translators, professional proof readers, editors, native speakers and specialists in various fields
• SOPHIA project managers are available to our business partners every working day for 12 hours a day
• Outside normal working hours we operate 3 information lines 24 hours a day
• Since 1999 the quality management system at SOPHIA meets the ISO 9001 standard
• 2000 - we were transformed into a limited liability company
• Since 2000 we have been a full member of the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce
• In 2004 we concluded our first framework contract for translation services with the European Commission
• 2005 - we participated in the foundation of Association of Czech Translation Agencies
• 2006 - we received a European grant for the development of 5 specialized e-learning English language courses
• since 2007 we have been a member of European Language Industry Association (ELIA)
• 2008 - SOPHIA was the first translation agency in the Czech Republic to implement the international EN 15038 standard (relating to translation services only) into its quality management system
• Since 2009 our registered office is at Hroznová 28, České Budějovice, Czech Republic
• In 2010 we concluded other two framework contracts for translation services with the European Commission
